How To Cook Halibut – Easy Pan Seared Halibut Recipe



2 Halibut Steaks
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Clove Garlic minced
2 lemons (juiced)

  1. Season your Halibut with salt and pepper then add to a plastic storage freezer bag
  2. Add olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice to taste to the bag
  3. Seal the bag, removing all air from the bag, and allow it to sit in your refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour
  4. Coat the bottom of your skillet with olive oil and allow it to heat
  5. Sear halibut on each side for three minutes
  6. Brush marinade on top as cooking or pour into skillet
  7. Optional, drop in 1/4 cup of white wine while cooking
  8. Enjoy!

Easy Refrigerator Dill Pickles Recipe


1 3/4 cups water
2 cups white vinegar
5-6 cloves of garlic, smashed
1 large cucumber
1 tsp seas salt
1/2 small white onion sliced thin
1 tsp coriander
black peppercorns
dill seed to taste

  1. Boil water, vinegar, garlic and sea salt for about 10 minutes.
  2. Slice Cucumbers into spear shaped pieces.
  3. Add Cucumbers, onion, coriander, peppercorns and dill seed to jar.
  4. Pour liquid and garlic over cucumbers into jar.
  5. Allow the pickles come to room temperature before securing lid and placing in the fridge. 
  6. Best after two days (will last for a few weeks to a month)


Baked Zucchini Fries


1 large zucchini
sprinkle of salt
about 1 tbsp of flour
2 eggs
3 cups of Panko or regular bread crumbs


  1. Slice zucchini into fry size pieces.
  2. Coat with flour and sprinkle with salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl beat eggs and drop in zucchini to completely coat the sticks.
  4. Add the bread crumbs to a large mixing bowl and mix in zucchini until evenly coated.
  5. Lay a rack over a sheet pan and spray with cooking spray and add fries.
  6. Spray the tops of zucchini fries with cooking spray.
  7. Cook in a 425 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  8. For extra crispy raise heat to 450 or broil and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
