Homemade Turkey Gravy Recipe With and Without Drippings


2 tbsp butter
4 cups of chicken or turkey stock (or 2-3 cups turkey drippings)
1 cup flour
sage to taste (1/2 tsp)
thyme to taste (1/2 tsp)
black pepper to taste
Salt – optional

  1. Heat butter in skillet then add stock or drippings
  2. Allow to heat for 1-2 minutes than add flour and whisk into mix
  3. Add sage, thyme and black pepper to taste and continue whisking together
  4. Heat gravy for an additional 10-15 minutes on medium to medium low heat
  5. Add to gravy boat and serve!
