Ingredients:
1 package bacon
2 chopped white onions
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
2-3 cloves chopped garlic
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper
ground cayenne pepper
One shot of bourbon
- Cook bacon as normal and chop into small pieces
- Remove most of the bacon fat from the pan, leaving a little to cook chopped onion in
- Add water, butter and garlic and cook for 10 -15 minutes until onions are translucent
- Add bacon back to mixture and add remaining ingredients
- Cook for 30 to 40 minutes minimum on medium low heat stirring to avoid burning
