Ingredients:
16 ounces stuffing cubes
1 package Mild or Hot ground sausage
2 tbsp Butter
1 Medium White Onion
2 Cups Diced Celery
2 Large Cooking Apples (Red Delicious etc.)
1 Cup of Bold Chicken Stock
Fresh Parsley
Garlic Powder to taste
Sage to taste
Marjoram to taste
Salt and Pepper
1/4 Cup Sherry
- Brown ground sausage, once cooked add to stuffing cubes in large mixing bowl
- In the same pan add 1 tbsp of butter and add celery, white onion and apples and allow to cook down
- Add the mixture to other ingredients
- Add one cup of chicken stock, add half mix and add more
- Add all other ingredients to mixture and mix well
- Coat the bottom of a cooking tray with other tbsp of butter and lay stuffing out into dish evenly
- Cook in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes covered for the first half of cooking and uncovered for second half
